CNY Breastfeeding Connection

The Central New York Breastfeeding Connection is a regional organization of Lactation Consultants, Nurses, Dieticians, La Leche League, Doulas, Educators, Doctors, and Midwives committed to:
Promoting breastfeeding in all communities
Enabling the family to make an informed choice about feeding methods
Protecting the breastfeeding family through the sharing of accurate information
Supporting the breastfeeding family with information and resources
Providing information and resources to health care providers who help new families in our community

Lactation Consultants

Find information regarding lactation consultants in your area to help support you while breastfeeding. Hospitals, such as Upstate Medical University and St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse offer support to mothers after they are discharged from the hospital.

Breastfeeding Support Groups

We have many different options for breastfeeding support groups, and they are spread throughout Central New York. There are some that are by appointment only.

Baby Weigh Stations and Breast Pump Sales

If you would like to pump either instead of or in conjunction with breastfeeding, we have several options for you to get a breast pump. There are also weigh stations available for mothers that need them.
